About this event

Newmarket Craft Beer Festival, now in its third year, is a festival dedicated to promoting excellence in craft beer and culinary arts.  

New in 2020 we are announcing our first ever WINTER Edition of the festival. This festival will feature an indoor / outdoor two day event featuring your favorite local craft breweries, wineries, spirits, food vendors, live music, merchandise vendors, and winter activities.

Culinary Activations - Friday February 28th. 2020 - Hall 3 & 4 - $30 per activation

Wine & Cheese Tasting with Lifford Wines & Thorloe Cheese FEB 28 6:00pm-8:00pm ($30)

Get ready to sip and stock up for the winter season ahead with Affordable wines and comfort cheeses!  Rachel will be exploring tasting notes and characteristics of each wine. Wines will be paired with traditional and specialty cheeses presented by Pamela Hamel, Brand Ambassador from Thorloe Cheese Company.  Thornloe Cheese has produced a respected brand of cheese products in Northern Ontario for over 80 years!  Tickets include 5 difference 2 oz wine samples paired with cheese.

Culinary Activations - Saturday February 29th. 2020 - Hall 3 & 4 - $10-$30 per activation

Craft Your Cookie FEB 29 11:00am-12:00pm ($10)

Michelle from The Little Red Bake Shop will take you step by step through piping techniques to decorate your own sugar cookie. Starting with flooding techniques and then decorating, you will design and dress up your own cookie. To top it off, you will of course get to take your cookie with you for a treat later on, and one that Michelle has done for you. Perfect for the serious cookie decorator or for kids too!

Risotto 101 FEB 29 12:30pm-1:30pm ($20)

This widely enjoyed dish is delicious but not always easy to Make. Join John Cosentino from Food In Motion Catering, in an interactive cooking course that will take the fear out of the preparation of this classic dish. Using his Italian-trained cooking background John will show you how making great Risotto can be stress free, easy, and entertaining. Paired with a craft beer too. Cooking isn't just about food- it's about the experience. 

Up Your Cocktail Game FEB 29 2:00pm-3:00pm ($30)

Join drinks experts from the Yonge Street Winery shop in Aurora as they take you through the ultimate cocktail adventure. In this demonstration you will learn some great tips and tricks to hosting the ultimate cocktail party and to creating some fabulous cocktails. See what great glassware, tools and cocktail innovations are out there. Learn from the pros, sip a drink and even take home an authentic Spiegelau crystal cocktail glass, included with your ticket.

Burger 101 with Ground Burger Bar FEB 29 4:00pm-5:00pm ($30)

Ground Burger Bar’s head chef Braeden Knight will give you a step-by-step lesson on how to craft the perfect burger from the Ground up. From selecting the best cuts of meat for a proper grind, to the art of the build & everything in between the bun. You don’t want to miss this epic demonstration!
